Inspirational Messages

February 5th, 2009

Speak good words, kind words,
Words of wisdom, words of encouragement.
Like gentle rain upon a dormant field.
Eventually, they will coax the seeds
Beneath the soil to life.

Marcella’s Special New Year’s Message

January 3rd, 2010

Happy New Years Eve everyone. Wow, how could another year just fly by so quickly? So many wonderful things have happened this year and I am so grateful to God for each and every blessing he has sent my way. This upcoming year seems to be a mystery in a way, but I will leave it in God’s hands and accept any new challenges that will come my way. We tend to be a little skeptical this time of year because we know what the past has held but we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. One thing for certain is that if our faith is in the Lord, we know and give thanks and praise to Him for bringing us through another year knowing that only through His love and mercy and grace we are here today. We leave our Yesterdays in the safekeeping of His faithfulness and trust and have faith in Him of what tomorrow will bring. Read the rest of this entry »

Higher Than the Sky

February 28th, 2010

Keep wearing virtues as your ornaments. Keep loving others. Keep giving regard. You have to go beyond the stars. Keep thoughts higher than the sky, and abundance of patience like the earth. Keep spiritual love in your eyes.

What Really Makes You Happy

February 28th, 2010

Take Time To Think about what truly makes you Happy.

It’s all right to be fearful of the unknown; Its smart to walk slowly into the darkness.

It’s all right to think twice about making changes; It’s wise to look ahead in all directions before starting out on a new road. Read the rest of this entry »

Let Life Get To You

February 28th, 2010

Let life touch you. Let yourself be moved. Yes, it will hurt sometimes. But far, far deeper would be the pain if you were to build an impenetrable wall around yourself.
Let it all reach into you, for you have what it takes to handle the experience. Know the joys and the sadness, the frustrations and the thrills, the deep serenity and the noisy commotion. Read the rest of this entry »

All Stressed Up and Nowhere to Blow

February 28th, 2010

All stressed up and no place to blow. Does that sometimes sound like you?

It is rarely the big crises of life that cause us destructive worry. Rather, those persistent small concerns do the most long-term damage to our spirits, minds and bodies. Read the rest of this entry »

When you speak of someone or about someone, you should speak as though they were in the room with you. The ears that you speak to today are attached to the mouth that could relay the message tomorrow.

“It doesn’t matter how long we may have been stuck in a sense of our limitations. If we go into a darkened room and turn on the light, it doesn’t matter if the room has been dark for a day, a week, or ten thousand years – we turn on the light and it is illuminated. Once we control our capacity for love and happiness, the light has been turned on.”

Courage

February 28th, 2010

With the courage of God, I take charge of my life.

Though I cannot control every circumstance in my life, I can choose my perception and response in every situation. My only challenge may be my own fear-based thoughts of lack and limitation. When I courageously decide to look at things differently, I realize I have all I need to overcome any seeming difficulty. Read the rest of this entry »

Respect

February 28th, 2010

When I learn to respect myself, other people will respect me. How can I develop respect for myself? By keeping my mind positive and encouraging myself to grow and change for the better. Demanding respect because of my position or background is simply arrogance. On the other hand, listening with humility and valuing other people’s advise naturally earns me respect. I get back exactly what I give out.

Just as a tree that is full of fruit bows down for others to take the fruit, one who is humble will always live in self respect and treat others with respect.
