Jesus Still Pleads
As another Easter time approaches
Christian's minds reflect on the Crucifixion
And the events so many years ago.
That led up to our Lord's execution.
Man still reviles and blasphemes His name.
Crying Christ and followers are to blame
For the torment and torture now displayed
By unbelievers with hearts filled with hate.
Even now men still has not learned
As over and over they yell with vengeance,
Screaming give me Barabbas even today.
Not any different from the original display.
Kill the precious Son of God again
By evil men's vile heart's intention.
Carnal man will never learn the lesson
That Jesus is the only way to heaven.
Jesus still pleads for all to surrender
And welcome the salvation that's offered.
Repeating Father forgive them please
Give me more time to souls redeem.
Because you see Christ did arise
And even today he still lives.
His desire is for man to believe, be baptized
And reap the reward of eternal bliss.
