Conquering Mountains

"Though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again."
-- King Solomon (Proverbs 24:16)
As we go through life, problems and success happen every day. The reality of life is that we learn more through our problems (our mountains) than we do through our successes (the valley). Successes are important to keep us encouraged. However, problems are our greatest teacher. This is because in every problem there is the opportunity to learn, to grow, and to become stronger, better persons. And this is what God wants for each of us; not to beat ourselves up but to grow!
As I sit up here on the mountain top at mom's house, looking out over God's creation. You can see one mountain top after another. Ridge line after ridge line. In between each mountain top is a valley. Some of the mountains are very steep and treacherous. Some are easy to climb. Some of the valleys are very shallow and small, some are very large. Reflecting about what I am seeing, God will allow us to face some of those very steep and treacherous mountains. Sometimes that climb seems to take forever, we feel we are never going to get out of it. Sometimes the mountain is a small, easy one to navigate.
On the other hand. The valleys are very lush and beautiful in relation to the mountains. They are very peaceful. Some of the valleys are small, they allow you to stay only for a short period of time. A time to refresh and renew your mind and body. Just enough to prepare you for the next mountain. Other valleys are very large. These valleys are usually not in the beginning of the mountains. It takes moving through several mountains to appreciate the large valleys. The prosperity within these large valleys will be beyond your wildest imagination.
The Lord will give us the courage and determination to overcome what ever mountain we may have. You may have a mountain of fear, hurt, anxiety, addiction, rejection, business problems, finances, health, the list go on and on. Jesus is the greatest encourager we have. He is always at our side to guide and help us.
Whatever mountain you are facing at this time of your life, large or small, remember God is right there with you. If anything is His will for you, you know that with His help you can say to your mountain, "You have defeated me once and you might defeat me again. But I'm coming back again and again, and I'm going to win because you can't get any bigger than my God." Ask the Lord for guidance, He will see you through.
May God Richly Bless each one of you,
