Determination Will Bring Success

The story is told of a college student who applied for a job.  The person who was in charge of hiring  said, "There's only a stenographer position available."  The young man replied, "I'd love it, but I cannot start the job until Wednesday."   It was agreed that he could come in and start the job on that day.

When Wednesday arrived, the young man arrived early and eager to go to work. the manager then asked him, "Why couldn't you start until Wednesday?" the young man explained, 'I had to find a typewriter and learn how to type."  That young man was Herbert Hoover, who was committed to learning and laboring.   He become a  President and proved what  determination can do.

When I was growing up, there was a little poem our teachers taught us which began with these words below:

"When a job is once begun
Never leave it till it is done,
Though the job be great or small,
Do it well, or not at all.

No one can ever get a job done unless he determines to do now what it takes to put it over.   Will we tell  the Lord that we are willing?  Will we prepare ourselves, and serve Him, if He will use us?  He will hear our prayer and help us to accomplish whatever task He has called us to do.  As we prepare ourselves and take up our cross daily to follow Him, our Lord will help us and give us strength for the journey. The Lord is looking for our availability, not our abilities.  "Little is much"when God is in it.  All we truly need is the Lord Jesus Christ in this life.   He will lead us in right paths if  let Him direct our paths and put Him first in our lives.

May we always be grateful to our Heavenly Father for our conversion and for calling us to be co-workers with the Lord Jesus Christ.  As we serve Him cheerfully and consistently, the Lord will bless us all the days of our lives. We all need Jesus more than anything else in this life.  With Him, we can have love, joy, and peace as we walk through this life, and forevermore.

Blessings In Christ,
